The 56M Engineering Ship Propeller is a core propulsion system component designed specifically for 56-meter-class engineering vessels. Compared to conventional marine propellers of the same size, this product is deeply optimized for the unique operating conditions of engineering vessels. Cast from a high-strength nickel-aluminum bronze alloy, it features a five-blade, highly skewed blade design, significantly improving propulsion efficiency and structural reliability in complex operating environments such as dredging, towing, and dynamic positioning. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and cavitation testing have verified that the 56M Engineering Ship Propeller effectively suppresses cavitation corrosion, reduces vibration and noise, and extends its service life under low-speed, high-load conditions. Furthermore, it is compatible with a variety of engineering vessel types (such as tugboats, dredgers, and cable-laying vessels), demonstrating excellent wear and impact resistance in high-silt waters, reducing maintenance frequency and operating costs.
Advantages
High-Efficiency Propulsion: Optimized blade profile and pitch distribution match the power curve of engineering vessel engines, improving fuel efficiency.
Adaptability to Extreme Operating Conditions: Designed for use in silt- and debris-prone waters, with dual wear protection in both materials and structure. Low Vibration and Quietness: Highly skewed blades suppress vortex cavitation, ensuring equipment stability for precision operations such as marine exploration.
Technical Features
Applicable Vessel Types: 56-meter-class engineering vessels (tugboats, dredgers, PSVs, etc.)
Material: Nickel-Aluminum Bronze (NAB) or Special Stainless Steel
Blade Design: 5-blade, highly skewed, optimized tip unloading
Surface Treatment: Polished + Anti-cavitation Coating

Cable Laying/Repair Operations: Low vibration ensures accurate submarine cable laying.
A fixed-pitch propeller (FPP) has blades permanently set at a single angle relative to the hub — once manufactured, the pitch cannot change during operation. A controllable pitch propeller (CPP), by contrast, uses a hydraulic or electro-hydraulic mechanism inside the hub to rotate each blade around...

Read MoreThe 56M Engineering Ship Fixed Pitch Propeller is a core propulsion system tailored by Zhenjiang Jinye Propeller Co., Ltd. for specialized engineering vessels. We utilize a patented nickel-aluminum bronze alloy formula and vacuum casting to create a one-piece structure with superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. This ensures industry-leading fatigue strength and cavitation erosion resistance in complex operating environments such as dredging and lifting.
Targeting the unique low-speed, high-torque requirements of engineering vessels, the Jinye Propeller R&D Center utilizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and a model test database to precisely optimize the three-dimensional blade shape. Our engineering team specifically enhanced the hub-to-hub ratio design and blade tip load distribution, ensuring the propulsion system maintains efficient thrust output in both forward and reverse rotation conditions, perfectly matching the frequent maneuvers and precise positioning required of engineering vessels.
Leveraging over 40 years of experience in heavy-duty propeller manufacturing, Zhenjiang Jinye provided a comprehensive digital manufacturing solution for this project. Five-axis CNC machine tools imported from Germany ensure blade surface machining precision meets the highest ISO 484 standards. A proprietary intelligent dynamic balancing system ensures vibration control exceeds shipbuilding regulations. Each product is equipped with a full lifecycle quality traceability system, providing clients with classification society certification services throughout the design, manufacturing, and testing phases.
We understand that the reliability of engineering vessel propulsion systems is directly linked to project safety and efficiency. Therefore, Jinye Propeller will continue to focus on technological innovation for high-performance propellers, providing safer, more efficient, and more intelligent propulsion solutions for the global offshore engineering sector.
